Spanning an area of approximately 55 000 square feet, CAVE VILLA is located at the foot of
Batu Caves hill, a landmark that cannot be missed as you enter the Gombak district. The
natural environment that is surrounded by lush flora and fauna enchants the visitors. CAVE
VILLA offers some interesting attractions like a huge Koi Pond, Art galleries, Reptile Galore,
Cultural performance and a beautifully landscaped garden.
The 10,000 square feet Koi pond holds a Balinese bridge that connects to the rest of the area.
A mixture of Japanese koi, local tilapia and freshwater fish species dwell in this panoramic
pond. Visitors will be greeted by thousands of these vibrant fish and ducks. Visitors can feed
the fish and the ducks. Fish food is available at the counter.
The 2 very big cave art galleries concentrate on the depiction of Hindu Gods and Goddesses,
with storylines translated to facilitate the visitors. Another interesting feature to note in the art
galleries is the common practices and rituals performed by the Indians in their daily life can
be seen.
The reptile galore displays more than 100 species of animals that consist of snakes, tortoises,
lizards and even crocodiles. The longest venomous snake such as the King Cobra and the
humongous Reticulated Python can also be seen here. Visitors can also have some good
photo opportunities with the tamed Iguanas and Pythons.
The Cultural Stage holds various types of folk dances related to the Indian community.
Visitors can watch and experience some of the exotic numbers like the peacock dance, snake
dance, tiger dance etc. performed by the CAVE VILLA performers. Before the end of the
show, visitors are welcomed to the stage to participate and dance along.
The landscaped garden with lush green carpet grass offers a scenic view just perfect for
photography. A wide range of flora is found here. Resting gazebos are built for those who
would like to sit back and enjoy the lush greenery.
Be amazed at the largest handmade 'veenai' with a length of 10.4 m (34.12 feet) and weighing 2
tonnes. It took 200 man power hours to build it and it has also won recognition in the Malaysian Book
of Records.
A 4500 square feet Bird sanctuary displays over 50 species of birds that consist of Peacocks,
Mandarin Ducks, Parrots and other local birds. Visitors can also get some photo shoots from
the counter with tamed birds.
